Make a mini painting for your partner or friend and swap at the end of the evening! Or come and make one for yourself :) all are welcome to enjoy a cozy painting evening at Leaf & Quiet.
In this 2 hour art class students will create their own mini botanical painting. This will be a cozy guided art session that will include traditional botanical illustration techniques, color theory with a focus on natural tones and tricks for painting light and shadow when portraying an organic subject. We will use plants from the store as references and hand paint our resin frames to look mossy. Students will be encouraged to choose their own background and frame color and add whimsical elements that speak to them. By the end of the class you will go home with a finished framed mini painting roughly 3 inches by 4 inches.
This class will be beginner oriented but all skill levels are welcome to attend!
Frames will be provided but feel free to bring your own frame or find a cool one at the thrift!
All art supplies will be provided including loose canvas, paint, brushes, glass palettes and water but please feel free to bring your own preferred supplies.
