Happy Earth Week! Join me (Erynn of Up Moss Creek Studio) in the Leaf and Quiet art space among the plants (If weather permits we might take ourselves outside to the garden!)

In this 2 hour art class we will go over how to approach painting a botanical subject, (leafy plant, flower or cactus) with acrylic paint in a vintage botanical illustration style. This will be a cozy guided art session that will include traditional botanical illustration techniques, color theory to create natural tones with a focus on greens. We’ll destress our paper, burn the corner and label our illustrations. The class will begin with students choosing their own plant from around the shop, followed by step by step instructions between focused painting time. By the end of the class you will go home with a finished 6 x 8 inch botanical illustration of your very own.

This class will be beginner oriented but all skill levels are welcome to attend!

All art supplies will be provided including loose canvas, paint, brushes, glass palettes and water but please feel free to bring your own sketchbook or preferred supplies.
